"Property is dirty, even the common areas were not in good shape. Our room smelled terrible, could barely sleep due to the odor. The shower was dirty and the handle was about to fall off had to play with it to get water to stay on. We originally booked two nights and immediately went to ask to cancel 2nd night so we could find a cleaner hotel. The front desk would not work with us and gave me a number to call (the number was out of service when I tried calling from the car). I reached out to Expedia since I booked through them and they helped me out with a partial credit since the hotel would not. Would not recommend this place at all unless you are just so desperate and your only option is this or s street corner. "

"This place is very old. And I gave it a benefit of doubt but it was dirty beyond measure. The carpet is FILTHY. I mean stains everywhere I was afraid to walk around with no socks or slides. But the worst part of it all is I was asleep and around 4:45am I roll over and see a shadow of a huge bug. So I immediately get up and turn the light on it’s a HUGE ROACH. I tried killing it but it went to the back of the bed. At that point I was stressed out because I was not going to sleep with a roach near me. I went to the front desk and the guy tried to come and kill it. He blamed it on “Texas weather” smh. Anyways he couldn’t find it but found a dead cricket . My goodness so this place isn’t deep cleaning at ALL. So he moved me into another room and at this point I have already started to record. I go to the other room. And exam this too and it’s literally old food under the bed. Ugh! I was so grossed out so overwhelmed that I could not go back to sleep AT ALL. I asked for a late check out but I was ready to leave by 9am. It’s not that it’s outdated it’s that it’s outdated and dirty as heck. "We went to this hotel with low expectations, and were pleasantly surprised. We stayed in the Doubletree on I-35 a few weeks ago and this hotel is FAR better. The room was clean, breakfast was great, parking was free. Highly recommend for a stay in Austin."
