5/5 - Excellent
We loved Cong. We had spent time in Dublin and Galway prior, and we loved the village experience of Cong. We also had a car during our Cong stay and enjoyed our drive around the Connamara peninsula.

The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Everything about this castle was impressive. Our room was roomy and very clean with numerous amenities. The dinner and breakfast we had was excellent with much to choose from. The interior and exterior grounds were beautiful. I highly recommend this experience ...

All the staff are very friendly, helpful and professional. The room we had was in the courtyard and was spotless. The breakfast was excellent and we both enjoyed utilising the vast grounds for a walk and the Ealu pool area each day.

Excellent accommodation and spectacular views. Clean and comfortable with quick access to Galway. Don’t forget to check out Salthill area as there are some nice places to eat and great pub.

You can learn about the history of Cong with a visit to Ashford Castle. Stroll along the lakeside in this relaxing area, or seek out the fishing spots.

Discover some of the finest examples of Ireland’s earliest architecture as you walk amid the ruins of this 12th-century Augustinian abbey.
You can browse the exhibits at Quiet Man Museum, a museum with a story of its own, during your travels to Cong. Amble around this relaxing area's lakeside, or seek out the fishing spots.

Didn’t explore much of Cong since we had everything we needed at our accommodations (The Lodge at Ashford) but the little town is adorable! The pharmacy was very helpful too.
Love this little village. Of course we did the quiet man tour. My whole reason for wanting to go see where one of my favorite movies was filmed.
Cong is very tiny and most noteably the film location of the John Wayne and Maureen O’Hara movie The Quiet Man.
