The hotel has very limited valet parking only. You either have to park on the street or in a parking garage across the street. Street parking is expensive and the parking garage is a dollar a hour which isn’t bad but parking in the parking garage means you have to walk by the bus stop and the homeless that are sleeping on the bus stop benches or loitering directly across from the hotel. Also there was broken beer bottle glass on the sidewalks right in front of the hotel. Also when checking in I was given a very dirty look and the attendant scoffed and said ‘You’re checking in?’ I was wearing jeans and a T-shirt and all the other folks were wearing business casual and I was made to feel very judged. The room was only $215 a night, not exactly a high price for a place full of workers and clientele that acted so prestigious. The price was obviously based off the fact that the hotel is in such a poor area. Driving up to the hotel off of I-25 the streets leading into town literally looked like a ghetto. Also you have to call the front desk or use a video bell to get in to check in due to needing a key card to get in. No one responded to either, another guest let us in. The type of security they have is obviously based off of how poor the area is. There are a lot of food/drink bar/eateries close by and the views of pikes peak are amazing but be very aware that this hotel obviously caters to business professionals like CEOs and the like. Be sure to dress your best to stay here.
