「Beautiful hotel, very centrally located and right next to the ocean. Our room was nice and spacious and clean. Staff and management were very nice and helpful all around. Eg 1: I had hurt my ankle the previous day, and over our 2 day stay, they assisted my wife in getting ice for my leg. Eg 2: We also needed a screwdriver to remove the battery from a toy we bought (for plane travel), and the staff went out of their way to help out with it (laughing at us). 「I got a very big suite, more like a one-bedroom apartment which is comfortable. The location is great. Right by the ocean. Two major casinos as well as a shopping mall, a major tea shop and McDonald's restaurant are within 10 to 15 minutes walking distance. The vehicle charge by the hotel to go to the airport is a bit high (US$25,) and the driver, who openly admitted he drove under fatigue, asked me to pay for the toll. I thought it should be included in the charge.」

「I booked Olu Based on the reasonable price and great reviews. I wasn’t disappointed. The family were wonderfully friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived, the 2 family dogs are a lovely touch for animal lovers and the villa is clean and quiet with great WiFi. Great hot water in the showers and a wonderful Sri Lankan breakfast is available on request. Would definitely stay again when back in Colombo.」
