"This is my third day at State Plaza hotel. We booked it because it was very close to George Washington University, where my daughter was spending the summer. Staff is always very helpful and this past time war, who was the parking lot attendant was extremely helpful. Love to stay here when in DC."

"Liked the full kitchen in the room. They have valet parking only for $55 a night, no self park. Was nice location with a lot of easy to walk to sights and resturaunts. Room was clean and comfortable."

""micro-hotel" for when you don't need all the bells and whistles but want a convenient place to stay ... staff was friendly ... you may need to ask for extra towels ... room was spacious/bathroom tiny -- but perfectly fine for our short length of stay ... very nicely-fragranced shower products ... if you are a light sleepr, consider traveling with a noise machine/ear plugs as it is still a city and there is a hospital near by ... while we did not eat in the restaurant, there was a steady stream of customers for pizza and the rooftop bar was popular"

"Staff inside were friendly and helpful, shuttle drivers were sometimes not. Restaurant had good food, but was not open 7am - 10 pm as posted. Beatriz was amazing. Pool was closed, gift shop was never open that I saw. Rooms were well serviced, but overall pictures were misleading."

"I actually loved the property and would more than likely stay there again. The reason I did not give the property 5 stars: 1) the sink area in the room should have a door so that the light and sound can be muffled. I am an early riser, my family is not. Me being up to wash my face, brush my teeth, get ready to go have my coffee totally woke everyone up because of the light and just me getting ready for the day. 2) the toilet lever did not work without me holding it down for the flush cycle. For a property like this, maintenance should be a given. 3) the breakfast. I did not read closely enough, but there should at least be a sign outside the entrance to “remind you” that breakfast is like $25/person. The breakfast was the same breakfast I could get “complimentary” at a lesser hotel chain. I definitely would not have paid $25 per person. Other than that, it was a great property. Nova Restaurant - the food was great."
