I captured this image on my first outing with my new camera.
From mid November through mid January, Bald Eagles migrate to Lake Coeur d'Alene to feed on spawning Kokanee. The current official count is over 300 birds! The numbers generally peak between Christmas and New Years Day. On December 10, this young juvenile landed about 10 meters (30 feet) away to snatch a fish from the shoreline; much easier work than fishing the deep water. #eagles #eagle_fishing #juvenile_bald_eagle #nature #wildlife
