Outdoor enthusiasts can fish for bass and catfish along the Elk River or explore the scenic trails at nearby Buffalo Creek. Visit the Clay County Courthouse for local history, then ask locals about their favorite spots for authentic Appalachian meals.
This is cabin in the woods that is like a hostel. I had the whole dorm room to myself. The service is techno; everything is done by phone. I was worried I would not be able to upload my pic of my license, but I got it done.

A sweet spot on the river of an old downtown. We enjoyed glamping in the well-appointed Sycamore tent, and the hosts made a lovely omelette breakfast. We spent the day railbiking at Elk River Rail and an ATV tour with Middleton. It was our first time to West Virginia and we had a great time.
