「Rooms are very sparse (one chair only in a double room, no suitcase stand, no drawers) but clean however, the exterior is not maintained and presents a very poor impression with large potholes in the car park, unkemptand overgrown bushes, rotten door frames, excessive weeds where there used to be flower beds and smokers trash at the entrance. Additional £5 per night parking fee! Probably one of the worst appearance Days Inn we have seen worldwide.」

The staff were wonderfully friendly and welcoming, they made us feel very comfortable in the beautiful location. We really enjoyed our pre dinner drinks by the open fire in the guests lounge and learning about the history as we explored the building. Delicious food, we met the chef who checked our exact needs. 「Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request...

「Great property, clean, excellent master bedroom, well equiped, brilliant location and in a peaceful spot, however the hot tub stopped working / went to standby mode and couldnt be used so felt like the one main reason we booked this property and couldnt use it. The stairs are very steep and were difficult to go up and down. Ideal for kielder and surrounding areas. 」
