Staff were fantastic, very welcoming. Room was amazing, everything was beyond expectations. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, chocolate bar, sewing equipment, shoeshine and lots more were provided in our room. It was central to the beach and amenities and to top it off the the breakfast was delicious.

Fabulous hotel just off the sea front in Clacton with off street parking. My room was large and well furnished. Bed was so comfy and the bedding was crisp and white. Bathroom was big as well with a lovely selection of toiletries and big fluffy towels. I had cooked breakfast which was freshly made to order and delicious. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and proud of their hotel. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Carol and her team give amazing service... a good ole fashioned B & B where service and care are second to none. From the extra delights in the room, including biscuits and chocolate with numerous tea and coffee choices, to the towels, with flannel, and a breakfast menu which is extensive and means 'no lunch required'. Carol is an absolute gem too taking interest. Great stay.

Very pleasant hotel and lovely owners and staff. An old building with character features but clean and tidy. The room was large with a huge double bed, TV, tea & coffee making facilities and a small fridge. The bathroom was modern clean and tidy with lots or towels, but beware the seagulls are noisy if you have your window open. The breakfast was good with a large selection of fruit, cereals or cooked. There is parking outside and it is only a short walk to the Clacton Pier and Beach and Preso's Restaurant.

Good value for money. The single room was, as expected, small but clean and perfectly adequate with ensuite, TV and good tea/coffee making facilities. Breakfast was excellent, with a varied choice. I was kindly allowed to check in to my room a long while before stated time. Parking is limited to six spaces in front of hotel. Owner very friendly and welcoming.

Went to Clacton on Sea to visit family and stayed one night at this lovely hotel. The owners were unbelievably friendly and have been in business since 1963. I’ve never seen such a beautiful clean bathroom and I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels. The breakfast was included and was unbelievable homemade with such an incredible amount of items to choose from and delicious. Apparently the owner cooks it up himself. . I parked right outside the door, which was amazing and very safe and secure as you have your own key to get in at night two doors in the front— the room was spotless. There were some nice touches also. Very nice bath gel.. a very, very hot shower if you wanted it. Water in the fridge even a welcome chocolate bar.. do not hesitate to stay here if you are in town. I will definitely be visiting again.!
