Inns in City of Preston

"On arrival I had ordered some drinks to room which didn’t appear until after 3pm and were ordered for 1pm. The room was on the third floor and I asked for a lower level because me and my wife are both disabled. When I checked in the guy behind reception only took the money for our extras and not the room. The room was terrible the telephone and television didn’t work and the sink in the bathroom was blocked. When we woke up Saturday morning there were a letter put under our door saying please could we pay for our room as the receptionist didn’t take it on Friday. I was extremely disappointed as I have stayed there on numerous occasions and never had any issues like this especially putting us on the 3rd floor."

However Room cleanliness wasnt great, i did request another room but they were unable to change us over as we hadnt booked direct - so jad to settle with a room full of cobwebs and very stained carpet. Also the room was far too warm. The first morning we ordered breakfast and it didn't arrive despite us reminding staff numerous times. Eventually gave up and had to leave as we had appointments to to to but for 18.50£ persom not good. Still waiting on refund for this. The other mornings it was grand, although i think my complaint earlier may have had somwthing to do with that. The staff in the Spa were lovely and knowledgeable. Although the spa could do with retiling in places. I wouldnt class this hotel as a 4* hotel more like a 3*. Overall the stay was Ok. They just need to work on their cleanliness and the breakfast service could do with being a little quicker."

"Had a great stay . Could not fault the staff the food the entertainment. The only let down for me was the bedrooms very small & need renovated to a better standard . It would not stop me booking again "

"We went for the "privilage" room, the best option they have cause it came with a walk in shower. That was a must as my partner has an injury. We stayed 2 nights, the room was so basic, very similar to the Premier Inn just slightly bigger. So bad points, there was a 1 inch gap still there when you close the window, so it was pointless closing it. You could hear the traffic on the motorway and the wind was still blowing through. As we walked out into a courtyard area, my partner slipped and fell on the floor because it was so slippery. They mopped the outside tiling floor and didn't display wet floor signs. It looks good from the outside but the inside was very basic and you pay way more than its worth."
