Lovely, new build. Very friendly staff. Apartment was more than sufficient and very comfortable - plenty of amenities provided like washing machine and dishwasher tablets, etc. Highky recommend

The bar that is attached to the hotel operates until 1am. The room I booked was above said bar and staff could not ask that the base be turned down. Lying in a bed with base pounding was obnoxious and distressing.(until 1am on a Tuesday night). I have stayed at the Grass Matket hotel many times over the years and never experienced this before. Waking up then to the smell of fried onions through the vent was another addition to have me change future accommodations. I was traveling solo so I booked a smaller room, the room itself was clean and simple. Not worth the distress of not being able to sleep!
