「Glebe Cottage was a lovely place to stay. The location was superb with views out to sea from the cottage and hot tub. The cottage was well appointed and very clean. I read other people’s reviews so brought some scissors. Bonus of having electric car chargers right outside the cottage. It’s really thoughtful of the owners to mow the edges of the fields so you can easily walk to the coast or to Embleton village without going on the road. 「Close to the town centre just could do with a little updating」

「This was not a B&B as advertised. This was a grim, empty beach house where the owner, who lived an hour away, remotely answered the doorbell to tell guest how to find their keys. The only good thing to say about it was that the owner refunded my money promptly when I frantically was able to find proper accommodations.」

「This is a fabulous hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, very good food, comfortable and well appointed rooms. Great location on the Northumbrian coast in a village which is a delight to walk round.」

「This is an institution but honestly I'd rather have a drink here and sleep elsewhere. The staff were very kind and helpful. It was mainly that because of the awesome pub it is noisy until pretty late. More from people on the street going in an out than the pub itself. It was pretty warm so I needed to leave the window open for some air. It is in the middle of town and safe and clean though, only the partiers were a problem but I was there on a Friday night.」
