"We were greeted by friendly luggage porters in kilts to this beautiful historic resort who loaded up our large suitcases on carts and once checked in, the porter delivered them to our room. We had a nicely decorated room with a large smart tv and a very comfortable king bed. We ate at the pub the first evening and the food and service was exceptional. Dinner was followed by a ghost tour at 9 pm which was a lot of fun and provided some history of the hotel. We ate breakfast in the main dining room both mornings and I ordered the omelette with a fruit bowl - best omelette I can remember eating, so had it the second morning too. My husband used the indoor pool and hot tub but I decided to relax in the room after a busy day. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend."

"I liked the balcony and the staff were excellent. However do note, there is on Friday night and Saturday night a singer playing below you which is okay, but the weekends are busy. And there was some people having a rousing discussion on our floor in the next room at 1 am. However, the ceiling alarm went off Friday afternoon after we checked in for two quick chirps so it stopped after that and we figured all is good. Then on Saturday night at about 3 am it went off again twice with two chirps and that wasn’t so good. Perhaps you could attend to that as it was some sort of problem and when we checked out I didn’t mention that but I should off. The location is the best in St Andrew by the sea and the staff were wonderful."

"It’s a beautiful historic property. We were greeted on arrival and given great information about the area. It’s a short walk to the Main Street shops and restaurants. Rooms were clean, temperature controls were available and felt very private. We did not get to enjoy the onsite cafe but will look forward to it next trip."
