「The Kennedy House was built in 1885 so although plumbing, electrical and furnishings have been upgraded it is a rustic establishment with great character, a good casual restaurant and a popular lively bar. They have parking (a rarity in the area), an elevator and friendly staff. We were given an upgrade upon arrival and after departure my wife realized she had left her valuable earrings in our room. When we phoned the hotel they confirmed that they had the earrings and would mail them to us!...

When we arrived, the host that checked us in was extremely outgoing and friendly. Once she explained everything and left, I called to ask if they had a corkscrew for our wine as we forgot to bring one. She returned to the premises from her way home and brought it to the room. 「The service at Algonquin is as good as it gets…excellent. The room with a king was small compared with for example the Delta in St John. The restaurant was “satisfactory” but somewhat disappointing given this higher end venue. We expected something like what was comparable to the experience a few nights ago at the Rossmount Inn restaurant. The wine list at Algonquin is relatively limited and disappointing to our party of 4. The hotel could use the advice of at least a part time sommelier....

「We only stayed the 1 night, but we were very comfortable. Clean room with everything you’d need, except a coffee machine. ( Tim Hortons right across the street). This motel was just a little far to WALK to down town and the water front. There seemed to be plenty of parking all over. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.」
