「Arrived at the lodge and was greeted by 2 lovely hosts who showed us to our room and was very helpful and told us some very interesting facts about the lodges (an all girls school built before the ww2 I do believe ).
The room was very clean and beautiful inside and the small window behind the bed overlooked the forest behind which was beautiful.
Overall very quiet, the only bit of noise is people walking to and from their rooms as they are so close together but we was so tired we eventually...
「The first room we checked into was next to an internal door which kept being slammed by noisy guests.
We were moved to another room by a lovely and helpful member of staff without any hesitation. The second room was an upgrade from the first one and was in a much quieter part of the hotel so we are very appreciative of that.
The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating.the location is perfect next to the river and the outdoor space was great (was a lively still and sunny day).

「Delightful stay with incredibly friendly & willing staff,nothing was too much trouble. A mixture of old and new & my room(in the garden block) was spacious,modern & a lovely view from the patio over the cricket pitch & down to the Tyne. Food was very good,I ate in the bar but you can go more formal if you want.
Hotel is in an enviable position,just outside Bellingham so access to roads easy. Even an indoor pool. If you like comfort,without formality,I would highly recommend.」
「Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced...

「Fabulous boutique-feel hotel in the middle of Hexham opposite the park. Delightful staff and great bar that opens up on to the pavements. Good restaurant. 」
「The place is an ancient inn in a wonderful spot of the countryside. Perfect for trips along Hadrian's wall or nice walks in the fields. No restaurants in the area except the inn's one, where it's possibile to eat until 8.30 pm. Excellent beer until late.
The toilet area is really tiny, but the rooms are lovely.」
「Wir hatten einen holprigen Start. Wir waren müde vom Laufen und als wir unser Zimmer bezogen, sahen wir, dass dies vergessen wurde zu putzen. Der Chef persönlich hat dies dann nachgeholt und es war schlussendlich alles sauber und in Ordnung.
Das Essen im Restaurant Abends und das Frühstücksbuffet war sehr gut und reichhaltig. 」
「We were in the area to visit Hadrian's wall. This hotel is an ideal base and close to many sites. Comfortable room and great food for breakfast and dinner. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would stay here again.」
「Net overgenomen door nieuwe eigenaars. Er waren wat logistieke issues, maar alles is uitstekend opeglost. Sommige kamers boven de 3 eeuwen oude pub, sommige kamers aangrenzend. Lekker ontbijt.
