There was no smell in the room, and the service attitude at the front desk was very good, and two bottles of water were given to me.

The surroundings of the property are great. It is in a great location. The building is what we call a sick building. Our room had the air conditioner,but i am sure is dirty. The smell on the room we knew it was missing cleaning!!!! Breakfast??? What breakfast?? Just a counter with coffee!!! Don’t advertise it if you dont have it!!! The pictures in the reservation are not as the hotel actually is!!!!

The motel itself was old and in disrepair. The photos did not accurately represent the condition of the property. This hotel was worth roughly half of what I've paid per night I would never stay here again.

Parking was convenient. Glad to have an elevator. Room did not have a hair dryer and there were not enough towels in the room. The person at the front desk was nice but not very friendly. It was also irritating that on the super 8 emails they asked for a tip for the staff. We had basic service at best. Not tip worthy.

The room and bedding were clean, and the beds comfortable. But the floor was terribly dirty and sticky. It seemed like it hadn't been mopped or swept for a year. I had to have my shoes on at all times.

First rooms smelled like somebody smoked in there. Staff was courteous enough to exchange room; second room did not have door lock for bathroom. Did not like To go breakfast

The room was clean - however my 8-year-old did say he saw a roach in the bathroom. The beds were fine - not 10/10 comfort, but they got the job done. It was a quiet area, and we felt safe there. The staff was extremely kind and helpful.

This was a great stay! The front end staff were very friendly and attentive. Its a little out of the way and the breakfast is just a grab and go option so dont expect anything fancy. But for the price this is a great option.

Think of this hotel like a 1990s Toyota Camry. The bells and whistles are outdated. The paint and trim is looking a bit faded, but the engine with 200,000+ miles is still running strong. Pros: Clean room, could smell the bleach. Lots of pillows Conveniently near places to eat and public transport Great water pressure and lots of hot water Great AC (it will freeze you out) Quiet Cons: AC is noisy. Works great but it’s loud Bed is noisy (the mattress/base makes noise if you twitch a toe) Mattress is not the greatest. It’s not terrible but it’s also not great No hair dryer Overall we enjoyed our stay. We had a clean room and for a place to shower, sleep, and get ready it was perfect. It’s about a 5 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 10 minute walk to a grocery store, fast food, coffee, and the train station. We didn’t explore the area beyond the hotel up to the main road as we took the train into Chicago. The train is great and we could get into the city and connect to the airport easily. There is highway noise but it’s not terrible (and no honking like in the city!). The hotel is dated and could use an update but it’s definitely not a roach coach. We felt safe and there was no appearance of it being a drug hangout. We saw maintenance working on the property and cleaning every day. When we checked in the front desk was not rude but gave the impression we were bothering her. It was the same when getting breakfast. However the evening staff was friendly.
