The breakfasts were excellent. they were fixing up the property to make the rooms very nice. Problem was that the smell of paint was fairly strong in our room. So probably was recently painted.

I thought the hotel was great, my room was clean and everything was up to date. The breakfast was spectacular, other guests raved about it also. They were remodeling during my stay, but it did not affect my stay. I would definitely stay there again.

Traveling with a school group and management gave away several.rooms that were reaerved causing us to split the group, chaperones and ultimately causing additional bus time needed. They corrected fornsecind night Was there at 5pm and rooms wer still there gave away a couple of.hours later and kids had to be bused at 1230 in morning somewhere else

Hotel going through renovation. Rooms had already been completed but our room still showed signs that needed some work. Overall quality of hotel is lower than some other Holiday Inn Expresses I have stayed at. Noise level was fairly loud.

I wish they specified that there was construction on the property. It was a pretty big surprise when we got in. The AC was soooo loud. When we turned it off, the room got super hot. And then when we turned the AC on, it was cooler but hard to sleep cuz it’s so loud. And the AC would turn on and off itself throughout the night, so if we ended up falling asleep while it was quiet, we’d wake up again when it turned on. Vicious cycle.

Wait until they finish remodeling!
We arrived to discover that the hotel is finishing up a renovation cycle — the rooms are mostly done, but missing an easy chair; the lobby has noisy construction all day; and the parking lot is being resurfaced. The end result will be worth it, I’m sure. But the goody bag with a few pieces of candy did not make up for the inconvenience!

Excellent hotel, but it is undergoing a major renovation, so some of the public areas are covered in plastic and under construction. Still very nice, just be prepared if you're wanting everything perfect for a romantic getaway.

Staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Downs Grove
The hotel was being remodeled so not in 100% clean condition in the halls and common areas. Very good breakfast for the cost of the stay. The rooms were clean and the front desk service was friendly during check in and check out. I would stay here again.

at first I thought I had stepped into the wrong hotel altogether because I had never had such a poor experience at a Holiday Inn Express before. The rooms have no curtains whatsoever, the TV did not work and someone else's hairs were in my sheets. This hotel should be condemned.
