Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be an enjoyable experience if you've planned ahead. We've made a list of handy tips and tricks that will help get your Po Vai vacation started on the right foot. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Air travel can be a cruisy experience if you pack the right stuff. First of all you'll need basic toiletries, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Next, find a spot in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, any medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow too. Last, but definitely not least, don't forget to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Squeeze all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by authorities. Sharp objects, like your beloved pocket knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your aim is to feel as comfortable as possible. Choose slip-on footwear, dress in loose, breathable clothing and don't forget to bring a sweater in case it gets cold in the cabin.
- You've probably heard about deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by prolonged periods of inactivity. To reduce your risk on board, stay hydrated, consider wearing compression socks and do gentle foot and leg exercises in your seat.
