Wherever you're jetting in from, flying can be a seamless experience if you're prepared. We've put together a list of handy hints that will get your Naru-mal vacation started on the right note. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, put in your passport, important documents, bank cards and medications. Next, you'll want some extra in-flight entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a laptop filled with your favorite shows are some great options. If you hope to take a quick nap, a quality neck pillow and a pair of noise-canceling headphones will also be useful. Finally, make room for a toothbrush and some cleansing wipes so you'll touchdown looking and feeling fresh.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of restricted items differs between airlines, the general rule of thumb is nothing sharp, flammable or explosive. This includes things like screwdrivers, drills, spray paint and fireworks. Sporting equipment like ski poles, and items that could harm other people, such as firearms and swords, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane are no place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfortable clothing and pick shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- The result of sustained periods of inactivity, deep vein thrombosis (DVT) is a blood clotting condition that can affect passengers on long-haul flights. Lower your risks by drinking water, keeping your ankles and legs moving and wearing compression tights or socks.
