If you're poorly prepared, airports and flying can be testing. But there's no need to worry. Follow these tips and tricks for a worry-free start to your time in Hunnasgiriya. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane trip can be a great experience if you take the right stuff. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and some deodorant, a spare set of clothes and a magazine or two. Secondly, make room in your carry-on bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, medications and perhaps a quality neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, remember to bring your passport, travel documents and some cash.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Put all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated by security. Sharp or pointed objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and dangerous goods which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosols and poisons, are also banned.
What to wear on a flight:
- Comfort should be your priority when choosing what to wear on board. Loose, breathable clothing is a sensible option, as are flat, enclosed shoes.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT), a blood clot condition caused by extended periods of inactivity, can be a risk on long-haul flights. Walk around the cabin and give your legs a stretch or do some gentle exercises in your seat to improve your circulation.
