We've got the lowdown on how to make your flight as pain-free as possible. Follow our tips and you'll be cruising through airport security and having a blast in Ginebra in no time flat. What to pack in your hand luggage:
- Firstly, and most importantly, pack in your passport, important documents, wallet and medications. Next, you'll need some entertainment to while away the hours. A juicy book and a tablet crammed with your favorite shows are always good options. If you intend to catch a few z's, a quality neck pillow and some noise-canceling headphones will also come in handy. Finally, leave space for a toothbrush and some facial wipes so you'll arrive feeling fresh as a daisy.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- Leave all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner in your checked baggage. Any liquids or gels in your carry-on suitcase larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) will be confiscated. Pointed or sharp objects, like your precious Swiss Army knife, and products which are explosive or flammable, such as aerosol cans, spray paint and fireworks, are also not allowed.
What to wear on a flight:
- The aisles of an airplane aren't the place for a fashion parade. Layer up with comfy clothing and choose shoes that are flat, enclosed and easy to take on and off.
- Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can pose a risk on long-haul flights. It's the result of blood clots forming due to poor circulation, so do some gentle leg and foot exercises in your seat and consider wearing compression socks or tights.
