• Traveling on a plane can be easy if you carry the right gear. Firstly, you'll want a few toiletry items, such as a toothbrush and hairbrush, a spare change of clothes and a good novel. Next, find room in your carry-on bag for your phone and charger, medications and maybe a comfy neck pillow too. Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:

• Pack all your full-sized bottles of shampoo and hairspray in your checked luggage. Any gels or liquids in your carry-on bag larger than 3.4 ounces (100 milliliters) won't be allowed on. What to wear on a flight:
