We've pulled together all the info you need to make your journey a pleasant experience. Follow our tips and you'll be breezing through the airport and having a blast in Bixad before you know it.What to pack in your hand luggage:
- A plane ride can be a pleasure if you take the right gear. Firstly, you'll need basic toiletry items, such as deodorant and a toothbrush, a clean pair of socks and a good book. Secondly, find room in your bag for your phone, tablet and chargers, your medications and maybe a cozy neck pillow as well. Lastly, and most importantly, be sure to bring your passport, travel papers and your bank cards.
Do not pack the following items in your hand luggage:
- While the list of banned items can differ between airlines, the general rule to follow is nothing flammable, sharp or explosive. This includes things like knives, scissors, fireworks and fuel. Sporting equipment like ice skates, and items that could harm other people, such as pepper spray and guns, aren't allowed in the cabin either.
What to wear on a flight:
- Your goal here is to feel as comfortable as you can. Dress in loose, natural fibers and bring a sweater in case you get cold. Opt for well-fitting, flat shoes as it's possible that your feet and ankles will swell during the journey. Leave the high heels and heavy boots in your main luggage.
- The condition known as DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a risk on long-haul flights. It results from blood clots forming due to poor circulation and inactivity. Doing regular leg and foot exercises in your seat is a great way to prevent this from occurring. Wearing a pair of compression tights or socks may also help.
