"Excellent customer service. I have never felt more at home at a hotel than here. Perfect!!!!!! Stayed at Hyatt first half of trip and wished I would have stayed here the whole time. "
"Good neighborhood with numerous dining options and Buddhanath nearby (walkable). Nice terrace dining and bar, attentive staff, good price, recommend!"
"The hotel is very close to the Buddha Stupa, which is a great plus. Unfortunately it is located on a very busy street, across the street from the pedestrian area around the Stupa and crossing the street could be nerve wrecking. The hotel has a restaurant and spa, both featuring Thai specialties. The staff is very friendly and helpful."
"The staff was great. I was traveling on my own and the transfer from the airport was well coordinated. The manager even made sure I had gotten in ok. Very helpful and friendly and made sure my stay was very comfortable. The room was clean and also very comfortable. I would recommend as a good stay to rest before a flight out of KTM which is very close by. "

"Staff went above and beyond. We stayed during the protests and lock down. Even staff could not leave. They remained professional and still smiling. Connot express enough how awesome they are. "
"Excellent hotel with helpful, friendly staff, immaculate and spacious climate controlled-rooms. Great gym for working out using machines, free weights, treadmills. Nice location for shopping and wondering around Thamel area. Arranged early check in which I really appreciated after flying from West Coast for many hours. Hotel arranged ride from airport at reasonable price. Buffet breakfast with wide assortment of foods. Restaurant portions were generous and satisfying. I’d go back here if ever in Kathmandu again. "
"From arrival, it’s clear this hotel runs on meticulous care and thoughtful design. The building is spotless—corridors gleam, common areas feel fresh—and maintenance is impeccable. Our room was a masterclass in planning: clean, comfortable, beautifully laid out, with stunning, never-tiring views of Kathmandu. Thoughtful touches—excellent lighting, practical storage, and a truly comfortable bed—made it feel like home.
Dining is a highlight. Multiple on-site options deliver consistently high quality and warm service—from relaxed breakfasts to refined dinners. Rooftop spaces steal the show: a serene pool with panoramic views, a stylish sunset bar, and a well-equipped gym that actually motivates a workout. Fast, reliable internet throughout made staying connected effortless.
We were there during the Gen Z protests, and this is where Mercure Kathmandu truly shone. Staff were calm, composed, and extraordinarily professional. Thoughtful safety measures—discreet yet effective—kept us reassured without ever feeling confined. They acknowledged what was happening outside while maintaining a comfortable, normal atmosphere. Communication was clear, empathy genuine, and care above expectations.
While we’d love to name individuals, every team member was exceptional—from front desk and housekeeping to dining, security, and management. The seamless coordination, especially under pressure, was remarkable.
We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Mercure Kathmandu."
"The front desk staff were absolutely fantastic — very efficient, professional, and friendly. I was extremely happy with their service.
The breakfast was also excellent. There was a wide variety of food, and the chefs, serving staff, and supervisors all provided outstanding service. The coffee was among the best I’ve had in Kathmandu, and the latte service was impressively quick. I’m leaving with wonderful memories of my stay at the Hilton.
