"If you're looking for a new super modern hotel, this ain't it. But if you're looking for a comfortable place with quirks and charm you should definitely check it out! That being said - there are things you need to know to make an informed decision about staying here.
There isn't a normal front desk, and I guess sometimes check in is via an ipad and video call connection in the lobby. However, we were seemingly checked in ahead of time, and were sent front door and room codes via text before arrival. Helpful pictures to show the parking lots were included.
The main issue: the elevator doesn't work, and based on other reviews has been out for a while. That was fine for us, BUT it is a LONG narrow flight of stairs to get to the 2nd floor, and another very narrow flight of stairs to get to the 3rd. If you have heavy bags it's not a joke (maybe 44 steps total?)
Once you're up to your room, it's fine. Maybe even great. We had been moved due to construction to a different room than booked, and wound up in 302. It was really spacious, with 2 king beds. We were lucky and the weather was pleasant, so the AC unit did exactly what it needed to do. The bathroom was similarly large and shower had good pressure and hot water. The Roku TV is big enough, although the best viewing angle was from only one bed. Every floor had a coffee station available.
We were not at all bothered by the relatively frequent freight trains running right outside. I'd call that a feature, not a bug."
