"We stayed here for two nights, the room and bathroom were superb, facilities were excellent and just a short drive to Cognac. Very quiet at night, we enjoyed a very good nights sleep. Beautiful surroundings, well worth a visit. The owners were very helpful and friendly, helping with restaurant bookings and local information. Parking is available on site. "

"Four nights here - and loved it. It is beautifully quiet, the room was lovely and the pool beautiful with a great view. Christine (the owner) could not have been more helpful, she was genuinely concerned about making sure everything was OK and you were having a good time - which I was! Had dinner there on 2 nights, really nice with wonderful view. Thank you Christine - love your place - I hope I will be back next year!"

"Marielle and Loic were very kind and warm. It felt like I was staying at my favorite cousin’s house, and the home being a Chateau was the icing on the cake. Le Chateau de Lavaud is a gorgeous, serene castle with a generous landscape and spacing. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom had a quaint, antiquated feel of Spanish / Moroccan design. "This is a lovely old hotel, recently refurbished I would imagine, in the centre of Cognac. Staff were friendly with a good command of English and our room was clean and comfortable with a fantastic shower! Breakfast was very good too! Parking is available but as we visited on a weekend we were able to park on the street outside for free. The hotel is very well located for bars and restaurants as well as the major brandy houses."
