Amazing hosts

It was a flying visit for us but in the short time we were there we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The owners are just the sweetest couple - on their actions alone we would most definitely stay again! The room was very comfortable and breakfast was delicious.

Whether it’s a staging post on a longer journey or a base to explore, Ammonite Lodge is perfect. The rooms are spotless , comfortable and contains great products and facilities. The owners are incredibly welcoming- running the house seems as much a matter of love as well as business. We cannot fault the place and look forward to our next stay!

James and Catherine were excellent hosts; organized, friendly, helpful. The property is old as one can see and the rooms are cosy in size but contain all the amenities one needs. The breakfasts are wonderful and food allergies are catered for. Dining options are within comfortable walking distance. Parking is on the street outside and should be available nearby. We had a most enjoyable stay.

Nice welcome when we first arrived, shown to our room which was clean and comfortable, however, the bathroom in room 5 was very small, with a toilet sounding like the ones on a plane, and not comfortable. Breakfast was good, with a good choice. Overall a nice place, but over the top with ornaments.
