"We stayed at Bel Marina Hoi An Resort and while there are some strong positives, there are also a few important concerns to be aware of. On the positive side, housekeeping was excellent—rooms were kept very clean and well maintained. The staff throughout the hotel were attentive, friendly, and always willing to help, which made a noticeable difference. The bathroom was spacious and comfortable, and the spa was very good and reasonably priced. Food from the pool and room service was acceptable, though not particularly memorable. However, there are several downsides. Breakfast was disappointing, with very oily options and limited healthy choices. Even basic items like Vietnamese coffee had to be specially requested without sugar, which was surprising. The room design is also problematic. The bed is placed high on a platform with a relatively low mattress, making it awkward to get in and out. The pool area has similar design issues—the edges are sloped and extremely slippery, and the stairs are short and also very slippery. This felt quite dangerous, and despite being careful and holding on, I actually hurt myself twice. The biggest issue, however, is the noise. There is very poor sound insulation, with constant beeping from the street and noise from the pool area continuing until around 10pm. As a result, getting a good night’s sleep was difficult. Overall, between the noise, average-to-low food quality, and facilities that increase the risk of injury, this is unfortunatel"

"The Hoi An Historic was a beautiful resort-like property with a lovely pool area with lots of loungers. The breakfast was expansive and it was nice to be able to choose between indoor or outdoor dining. The staff was always so friendly. The location of the hotel is excellent for walking to many sites and the old quarter. We were extremely pleased with our choice to stay here. "

"It is very sad that I'm having to leave a very poor review for the Hyatt Regency in Da Nang. We stayed there for 5 days and 4 nights, with kids. The following are our main issues with it: 1. Staff Attitude: We were one of the few Indian families on the property that weekend. The staff constantly were particularly rude with us right from checkin. They were impatient, and dismissive of our requests. We arrived at 2:15pm and requested for room availability at 2:45pm because we needed to take an urgent work call. The reception staff flatly refused to give us access to the room before 3pm checkin time. No effort was made to accommodate the request in any way, no checking with housekeeping. Overall, the hotel and the staff have a clear preference on which guests they prefer to serve. During our whole stay, in multiple instances, staff looked completely disinterested to respond to any requests by the poolside, there were no smiles, no greetings, no warmth. This is very different from our previous experiences in other hotels and resorts in Vietnam. We were actually quite shocked! 2. Slow Service: We were left waiting for food and drinks for over an hour each time. We understand that the hotel was quite full, but such slow service despite repeated reminders was really frustrating, especially when we had kids who were really hungry. I would not reccommend this hotel for your next stay! Stay away!"
