This is an excellent B&B and Roberta and Giovanni who run it are brilliant. They are friendly, helpful and professional. Nothing is too much trouble. They do not own the B&B, but have worked there since day one when it opened 5 years ago. Between them they do practically everything.
A Tonnara is spotlessly clean, has comfortable beds, a powerful shower, good continental breakfast, a good location and stunning views. Every room has it’s own private outdoor seating and dining area. The only slight negative is the railway line that runs close to the property, but we didn’t find this was a problem.
It’s an easy 15 min walk to the old town where there are loads of good bars/restaurants/shops. There are also a couple of restaurants about half way, if you don’t want to walk that far. The view of the sunset from here is stunning - take your camera!
You can walk to the long sandy beach in about 20 mins (some sections are private where you can hire sunbeds & parasols, but there are public sections too where you can just sit on your beach towel). The sea is wonderfully clean and clear around Cefalù and we swam most days.
I highly recommend A Tonnara and will certainly book again if we holiday in this area in future.
