"We stayed one night and overall it was a very nice place to stay. The property is right on the lake so the view was really beautiful and you can walk out onto the docks which is great. The condo isn’t too fancy or anything but it was spacious and clean and had what we wanted. Heads up their check in time is 5pm, which is later than I’ve experienced anywhere - we were able to get in earlier but you have to show up to the front desk and ask to do so. Good experience overall though. "

"There was enough amenities in the rooms. Very cozy vibe very friendly staff. Would definitely recommend. It’s right by the lake and there is a little barbecue space outside. We were able to hang out over there. Enjoy the view and the barbecue."

"My husband and I recently spent two nights in the Honeymoon Cottage to celebrate our first anniversary, and it was a wonderful experience. The grounds are incredibly charming—the pond and string lights create such a "cute" and cozy atmosphere. We absolutely loved having our own private hot tub and were impressed by the cleanliness; the cottage was tidy, and the bedding smelled fresh. The staff member who checked us in was also very welcoming. We have just two small suggestions for improvement: the area rug in our unit was a bit dated and could use a refresh, and the indoor lighting was quite bright. A dimmer or a floor lamp would have really helped set a more relaxed mood in the evenings. We did hear some inappropriate noises from our neighbors during our stay, that is obviously out of the management's control. We loved the easy check-out! Being able to just send a text while departing made our morning so much smoother. Overall, we had an amazing time and will definitely be recommending The Grey Squirrel to our friends and family!"

"We knew the AC was not working during our stay but we didn’t count on the heater being on on our level hallways or the restroom area in our room (even though the thermostat said on). When we checked in our room felt like a sauna, luckily they had fans and were able to unlock the windows to let out the warmness. The water temperature in the shower kept changing from warm to extra hot and then cold. Front desk staff was average. We loved the location of the hotel. "

"Excellent place to stay! Literally the small tv was the only drawback, but that’s a footnote. This place was way to check into, great to stay in, easily accessible to everything nearby. It’s the perfect getaway place and I can’t wait to come back multiple times this year. Huge fan."

"We were disappointed with our stay due to multiple problems. Check-in was super frustrating, we never received the expected text for mobile check-in, and when I got through on the phone they told me you can only check in through text. They can’t do it over the phone, which makes no sense in a mountain town where cell service is spotty. It took almost half an hour to get the text then go through their online system to finally get another text with the code. A creek was actively flowing directly through the parking lot and right through our assigned parking spot for the unit, creating hazardous and inconvenient conditions that made accessing our car difficult. The kitchen only had non-microwavable bowls with no other options if you wanted to microwave any food. Additionally, the unit was advertised to accommodate a fifth person with a futon, but instead we found only a bunk bed setup with a double on the bottom, offering no separate sleeping arrangement as shown in pictures. Also the pool from the pictures is located a 5-10 minute drive away towards the village where there is nonstop traffic in the winter. Overall, these issues combined to make the stay below expectations and we wouldn’t choose to book there again."

"I had to shovel three foot high snow 10 feet long to get to the front door. I also had to shovel another six feet to get to the stairs as well. Luckily I brought a shovel because if I hadn’t I couldn’t have gotten into the place. This was after being told the room wasn’t ready and was being worked on. Once inside it was a Time Machine back the 80s everything was extremely outdated. The only plus was location and view"
