No sand, just pebbles, but packed with people in early August just the same. There's a nice carousel at the beach, with "cars" from Jules Verne stories. Public toilets are on the beach, but you have to pay. The place to rent kayaks is also on the beach. A Tourist Info. office is there, too. FYI quite a few topless bathers.
