「We had a lovely short stay at Macbeth’s Hillock. The cottage was clean, cosy and comfortable, with everything we needed. We mainly stayed there overnight while travelling, but I also cooked dinner there, which worked very well. The location is peaceful, close to local sights, and right next to a farm with beautiful sheep, which made the stay feel even more charming. A very pleasant place for our short stay.」

「Such a beautiful apartment. Very spacious, beautiful decor & cozy. Location is walking distance to the center of Inverness & local grocery store. Sylvia is so sweet & made our stay special with all her communication, snacks & everything thing you would need in a home away from home. Hope to return in the near future.」

「Great location, but busy with all of the cruise tours.」

「Dated requiring refurbishment also when we opened bedroom there was loads of birds droppings on the corner of the window cill because there was a house Martin or swallow had been nesting therefor had to close window and get no fresh air. We stayed one night and left prematurely. No breakfast It’s like being a latch key school child Wouldn’t recommend」

「The location is perfect」

「This location was a little unique since there was no direct face to face human interaction at all. Having said the above, the facility was very nice and charming. I will comment it is a bit annoying to have a lock and door handle system which required both hands on numerous occasions, coming up making trips to and out of the room very annoying.」

「Many thoughtful amenities. Sleeps an intimate two, not three as promised on both Expedia and another booking site. Host ignored Expedia message request for use of (non-existent) sofa bed and instead sent a direct email with door code. Daughter and I enjoyed this last minute booking but felt a bit bait and switched. Exceptionally clean, well appointed suburban backyard unit.」

「Our hosts very graciously stayed on the phone with us guiding us turn by turn to the house. Nice, comfortable, clean. Great shower」

「The property was easy to access and in a great location in Inverness. The host was accomodating and accessible...at first. When we arrived at the property, we found the hot tub liner was ripped which made using it a challenge...also we found several of the showers would not get cold and the heads on a couple showers would spray everywhere. Also, the heater behind the washer/dryer turned off and started blinking an error code. In the 5 days we had booked, we tried to contact the host four...

「The property was easy to find, communication was good, and the location worked well for our needs, with a quick drive into Inverness. Street parking was also easy and convenient. Unfortunately, the apartment itself was quite tired and not particularly comfortable. There was an odd, musty odor on the first floor, and the stairs were steeper than expected. The shower had only fair to low water pressure. The biggest issue was the beds. Each bedroom had two very narrow beds that felt smaller than...
