Hidden Gem

Absolute gem. This lovely little chalet/hotel is located in the woods. Has free parking. Very accommodating staff despite my lack of German. There were packets Haribos on my pillow!! Good temperature in the room, lovely surrounding area. I didn’t stay long enough to explore the woods and I regret not being able to do so. It has a lovely looking restaurant/bar although I didn’t have a chance to eat here. Bit of a pickle to get to but worked it out the second time round (ended up in the woods the first time!) Brilliant for a quick stop over or just a weekend away in the peace and quiet.

Gefallen hat mir das gut sortierte Frühstücksbuffet. Die Einrichtung ist eher spartanisch. Ein Föhn wäre wünschenswert. Auf TV und WLAN kann auch mal verzichtet werden. Wer darauf Wert legt, wird enttäuscht. Was mir aber gefehlt hat, waren Informationen zum Frühstück, da ich Ort und meinen Platz erst erfragen musste. Offensichtlich waren die Damen bei meiner Ankunft etwas im Stress. Idyllische Lage.

Meine Buchung wurde erst nicht gefunden, weshalb ich die erste Nacht nicht im gebuchten Doppelzimmer sondern in einem drei Bett Zimmer für Klassenfahrten verbracht, welches voller toter sowie lebender Käfer war. Das hab ich am nächsten morgen an der Rezeption gemeldet und mir wurde gesagt sie würden sie entfernen aber mehr kön te da nicht gemacht werden. Als ich abends wiederkam waren die Käfer immernoch da, weshalb ich nochmals zur Rezeption bin und ich schließlich nach einer halben Stunde hin und her telefonieren mit dem Chef endlich das von mir gebuchte Zimmer bekommen habe, welches dann auch frei von Käfern war. Die "Rezeption" war generell ein disaster. Sie war gleichzeitig die Getränketheke. Vor 8 Uhr findet man da niemanden und vor 9 Uhr niemanden, der von etwas mehr als dem Ort des Frühstückbuffets ahnung hat. Der restliche Aufenthalt war ganz angenehm. Ein Safe gab es in keinem der beiden Zimmer. Frühstück war okay. Es gab Kaffee, Tee und O-Saft zum trinken und verschiedenste Brötchen und Brotarten mit Wurst, Käse, Marmelade, Honig und Aufstrichen als Belag und verschiedene Müsliarten.

Klasse, vor dem Pfälzer Wald zu übernachten, sich einen Spaziergang im Wald zu gönnen, waren tolle Merkmale. Auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.
