Very close to the train station. Lot of pubs around. The check-in was quick. The palace was spacious and clean. The breakfast was basic. Overall a good option for the price.

Hotel poorly managed staff rude cannot take responsibility. Was put in a severely damp room with damp patch hidden by spair bed and curtains. My clothes that were on spair bed damaged by mould over 4 days. Staff took no responsibility and refused contact details of managers - extremely rude and uncaring. Second time around was put in a room with no signal then moved to another with broken chair that they failed to change 2 days. Room NOT cleaned as policy is clean after 3 days. Disguting!!!

Lots of car parking areas and the train station all within a few minutes walk.Great selection for breakfast-Scrambled eggs,Sausages, bacon, hashbrowns,mushrooms ,tomatoes. Toast,,cereal etc.Very polite staff.slight noise from bar or nightclub next door but it didn't affect us at all.Great price-really easy to get into Cardiff.Would definitely stay again

Lovely clean rooms. Staff great, especially Huda at reception. Central to nearby pubs, restaurants and sports ground. All good until 11.30pm when a nearby nightclub kicked off. Earplugs are provided and required.

Breakfast is advertised from 6:00am, when I checked in I was told 7:00am. I was catching a train to London at 6:40 . I would have stayed at the Merque Hotel

Stayed many times here but not recently until yesterday. The previous owners did not run the hotel well. However it is back to being run by good effective and friendly staff, breakfast is back on too. I will be back.
