Spectacular views from the room, the lounge and the breakfast room. Breakfast was delicious and artistic. Staff very nice- she even carried my suitcase up the stairs.

Stunningly beautiful

What a gorgeous place. The staff were so friendly and kind. The breakfast was lovely with some nice touches with a fruit starter. I would definetly stay again. The views from my room were breathtaking. This place was great value for money.

The Host Elsa is amazing and she squared away with a misunderstanding of reservation gracefully. The environment where the house is situated is spectacular. We enjoy our stay greatly.

Great location & staff but no Internet in the room

Two days in a window room at 1st floor. The view from the bed and a chair is spectacular. The brake is well served and presented. We had a diner that was nice too. The weak points are that they officer internet and Cable tv at the room that were it available. Internet only at the dining room and TV at the hotel living room. They provide un afte our request a package of films for the room. How’d we they shouldn’t advertise tv cable and internet at your room . If this is no an issue for you, go ahead. Moreover you have spectacular beach in front of the house and penguins are at walking distance. Very pleasant. Last bit not least, the manager booked for a us a retainer at Inter city for Christmas Day they was very good.

Rude horrible management

This was probably the worst guesthouse experience I have ever had. Absolute lack of service and lack of respect. There was an issue with the TV in our room and Elsa was not at all useful when i asked for assistance. She refused for me to change rooms although we where the only guests there. Instead she sent a message to my husband saying to let me know that there is more to life than watching TV! Insane behavior. When i asked for later check out so we could have a little more time she told me not to interfere with her business and accused me of throwing stones because I complained. She was rude and disrespectful she made my 10 year old daughter and i feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Safe to say i did not check out early, I packed and left with my daughter as soon as possible. I would not recommend this guesthouse to any one and it is a real pity as the location and rooms are beautiful but Elsa made my brief stay a horrible experience and this needs to be addressed.

Great views; average hotel

Overall a pleasant place to stay on the main road just outside of Simonstown central district with glorious views and a little beach across the street. We could walk to Boulders Beach to see penguins. A nice breakfast served on the terrace in the morning. Helpful owner on site in the morning. There is no generator - so we were two hours in darkness during load shedding (with one battery charged light). We could not get an Uber at night to take us into town and no food near hotel itself. Steep steps up to front entrance and room with no one to help with bags upon our arrival. Some stains on the bedsheets. A basic room. We would qualify this as a two star hotel.

Good location with ok facilities

We stayed at Whale View Manor to mainly go to the boulders beach to view the penguins. Our family enjoyed our time there but the hotel is pretty basic and rooms are a bit small.

Lovely guesthouse

This hotel was great. The only thing missing for us was a bit more hospitality. Everyone was very kind, but we often wondered if anyone else was actually around or in the house. Additionally, the WiFi is very spotty- only an issue if you need to do any work or hop on the internet for some reason. Overall a very nice, clean, well-located guest house.

Hjärtligt varmt och trivsamt boende i Simonstown

Familjärt i lugn miljö med en underbar utsikt över Lost Bay och närhet till den lilla badstranden nedanför boendet. Frukosten var mycket god och trevligt personligt uppdukad varje morgon med valmöjligheter från en meny. Ägarna tillsammans med personalen visade ett varmt och kundvänligt intresse för sina gäster i ambition att tillmötesgå önskemål på bästa möjliga sätt. I avsaknad av bil nyttjade vi Uber vilket gav oss goda möjligheter att från boendet besöka bl.a. närbelägna vintillverkare med vin- och grillkvällar.

Historisches Haus mit tollem Meerblick

Sehr netter Empfang, guter Service, liebevoll bereitetes Frühstück, Zimmer mit tollem Meerblick!! Schöner Salon und Frühstücksraum. Leider verläuft die Straße direkt vor dem Haus und fast alle die zum Cape Hope wollen nehmen diese Straße.
