The location of Signal Hill Lodge only one kilometre from center of Cape Town is very nice!! If you want to climb up to the lodge from the center - it is not easiest job but luckily you can use also taxi. People in hotel are very friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a beautiful location at the base of Signal Hill with lovely views across the city. It is still quite accessible and walkable to downtown attractions (I was working at the International Convention Centre and could make the walk in 30-40 minutes). The surrounding area is quiet and I felt quite safe walking during the day. The staff are all lovely and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. I have no complaints about the room (not honeymoon standard perhaps but perfectly adequate for business or vacation travel). My only issue was that they must get the lower gate buzzer fixed so guests are not stranded outside!

Hot water for a shower worked sometimes and not at others, even though the management said it was fixed. The offer of an omelette was welcomed as the group ahead of us ate almost all the food. The muffins were great. I expected a room with a view, considering the location. Instead, the fabulous views are reserved for the areas where all guests have access to…great idea. Slow service. Nice employees. Horrible interior design…garish.

The room was spacious and clean. Throughout my stay, the housekeeping team ensured everything was kept spotless, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness. The location was perfect, providing easy access to local attractions. What truly stood out was the exceptional service and attention to detail. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and memorable. From organizing day trips to recommending local restaurants, they were always there to assist with a smile. We cannot recommend this accommodation enough. Whether for a short visit or an extended stay like ours, this place will exceed your expectations. We will definitely be returning on our next trip!

My family and I stayed for a week in June. It is spotlessly clean. The rooms are large with balconies overlooking the city, with stunning views. Breakfast was full English or any part of it. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, danish pastries, bread jam, cereal, fruit juice. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The are is quiet and not a sole about at night. It was very good value. I would recommend to anyone travelling to Cape Town

Signal hill lodge was great. The only downside is that it is not practical to walk to any place with food or shops from this location. I did not have a car so I ended up using Uber everyday.
