Upon check-in, the front desk gave us the room and key card. Went to the room and opened the door with the key card. The room was already occupied! There were personal belongings from another guest. THEY LET US INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM!!!
Returned to the front desk and they gave us a key card for another room.
They do not do housekeeping on the weekend if you stay for more than one night.
They provide just the tiniest little bar of soap and half a roll of TP. When I requested additional shampoo for the second day, they just gave me 2 tiny tubes of conditioner, no shampoo.
I spoke with the owner who said that they do not do housekeeping for "stayovers" on the weekend. A stayover is someone who spends 2 nights of the weekend there. He said it was a post-covid thing (as if cleaning a room was in any way related to covid).
The so-called fitness center is a bench, three pairs of dumbells (40, 45, 50 lb) and a few cardio machines. I did not use the cardio machines to see if they work. The room is dirty and cold. The walls are damaged and in need of repair and paint... like the rest of the building.
Finally, and this is very concerning, all the fire doors on the stairwells are propped open with blocks of wood that seem to be glued to the door frames. So the doors will not close. If there was a fire there, it would spread quickly through the stairwells.
