「The in is an "experience" as it takes you back in time. From the minute you walk in and up the stairs you are transferred back in time. There are 11 rooms all on second floor and only one room with a private bath. Ladies and Gentleman have a separate area for private restrooms and bath areas. Each room has it's own unique decor (refer to website for complete description and don't forget to read about the history). There is no front desk as instructions are sent to you prior to arrival. 「This property closed its restaurant/bar and did not offer free breakfast as advertised because of "low occupancy." I was not informed and seriously doubt there was a rate reduction of any kind.」

「Peaceful and tranquil. Like traveling back in time when hotels weren’t high rise buildings. The trails and views are amazing. Comfy beds, clean. We stayed in Sassafras. Only thing missing in the room was maybe a dresser to put some folded clothes in. 」

「The room itself was decent, but the overall stay was very disappointing. The bathroom was outdated and it had visible mold on the grout. Most alarming were the cockroaches crawling on the furniture. There was constant noise right outside of our door - a dog was barking in the room next to us all night and people were coming and going at all hours. Also the power went out around 9:30 and was off for 2 hours. I would not stay here again. 」

「Hotel was beautiful and very well maintained. The only complaint i have is that when we checked in our car was taken by valet, we went inside to check in and we were told that the valet can range anywhere from 30-$70 a night depending on what was going on in the area. We went and put our luggage and came back down and told the valet we didn’t want to use their valet services. He said he would make sure we were not charged for the short time they had our car so we selfed park the rest of the...
