Upon arrival, I felt the front desk staff was more focused on chatting with each other than acknowledging guests waiting to check in. I don’t recall the gentleman’s name I spoke with—he wasn’t rude, but his demeanor came across as a bit sassy rather than welcoming. That said, the property itself was peaceful, surrounded by beautiful nature, and made for a very relaxing stay. While the rooms are somewhat outdated, they were comfortable enough. Overall, I would return for the tranquil setting, but I hope for a friendlier reception from the staff next time.

Expansive property with a variety of lodging options ranging from two-story buildings, motel-like, to individual bungalows: duplexes and singes. 257-step walking trail leads down from the far end of the property, which borders a forested and poison oak-draped flora, to Burton street below. Burton offers a variety of stores and restaurants. Convenient. Also easily accessible by car. Quaint, quiet, well-kept lodging facilities.

Big property. Family suite was large, and in need of some maintenance. Upstairs guests were extremely noisy, stomping around in the evening and early morning (5:00 AM). Do yourself a favor and spring for one of the One story cabin type rooms. Saw those in the 500 and 900 series buildings.

Uns hat die Anlage sehr gut gefallen, mehrere zweistöckige Häuser verteilt über die gesamte, sehr schön bewachsene Hotelanlage. Der Poolbereich ist sehr gepflegt und das Wasser angenehm beheizt. Über einen kleinen Weg am Hang mit Treppenstufen aus Holz kommt man innerhalb von 10 Minuten in die kleine Einkaufsstraße mit einer Auswahl an Restaurants. Wir würden auf jeden Fall hier nochmals gerne übernachten 😉

The king bed was comfy. However the sofa bed was horrible. My son slept on the floor!!! I paid too much for that. Then housekeeper came when not requested and woke us up so early. Same at check out. We had check out at 11 so dont come earlier than that unless i call to check out. On top of that we had neighbors running stomping above us til 1 am except our last night. We couldn't relax or just enjoy quiet solitude. Dont put us around children and parents who dont teach them consideration. I wont return without guarantees.

The grounds aren’t kept very well, overgrown bushes, dried areas, and a lot of debris. The living room had a small 2 person couch and 2 office chairs that were uncomfortable and hideous. Not sure how a $400 a night rate is justified. We only booked here bc of our dog who hates fireworks during the 4th of July. There’s a back way to the dog park which is extremely unsafe. Dirt steps that are uneven, loose dirt trail, steep with NO hand railing. The bed was soo uncomfortable as were the pillows. Very hard and bumpy bed and the pillows were high and stiff also. The room was spacious and has nice potential bc of the fireplaces and lay out but it’s overdue for new furniture by about 15 years. We won’t be booking here again. Oh and if you book thru Expedia, expect a call from the business wanting you to cancel your stay and book directly thru them, with no lower rate or insurance policy.

This was our second time staying here. We love the location and staff is always very friendly. Our room this time was on a lower level with someone above us and it was awful. I’m not sure if it was due to poorly insulated rooms or extremely heavy footed, noisy upstairs neighbors. Finding the pool from our room was confusing- lots of side gates locked up. And the hot tub was literally green and the water smelled bad. People were in it, I’m not sure why. I did ask facilities about it- they came to our room actually- but I explained it was the hot tub not our room tub. Not sure if it was ever resolved or closed down. We will likely pass on staying here in the future because of the hot tub incident- it was a big turn off :( which stinks because it is such a nice place in a nice spot. But a clean pool and hot tub area is very important to us.

No AC although they are very far inland and it gets very stuffy .. run down rooms and rude maintenance staff make this a nightmare
