I would've rated this hotel much higher had it not been for the experience I had dealing with a noise problem - the response from the hotel was disappointing.
It was windy one night and there were loud banging coming through the vents - it was LOUD (I was on a call and they could hear it through the phone). It was clear that there was a vent cover (or several) that were flapping in the wind and banging against the vent opening.
I called the front desk, and they sent maintenance who said he couldn't fix the problem (fair enough) - so I asked him if I could move to another room. He tried to tell me that this banging was happening in every room. I asked if everyone was calling in about it then and he said, "yes ma'am someone on the 5th floor" (I was on the third floor) and I said "are they also right beside the stairwell?" and he said "yes ma'am" and I said "okay, can we just stand in an open room that isn't right on the end and see if it's a bit quieter" and he said no and just kept repeating that it's the same in every room and that "the wind was his enemy". I finally said, "never mind" and called the front desk again and asked them for a different room - they also said it was problem in every room, but I insisted they move me. They moved me to the main floor and sure enough there was absolutely zero vent noise - ZERO.
To be clear, I'm not upset about the noise - I'm upset about the way the situation was handled and how everyone gaslit me about the solution.
