We have stayed at The Carriage House several times when visiting Calgary. Like the free breakfast, Peanuts restaurant for dinners and drinks. We prefer to stay in a premium room, however the room we had this time the bathroom was small and it was awkward getting in and out of the shower. Towels were not very soft. I would definitely stay here again

Really nice complimentary breakfast, & the outdoor pool is a great perk. the gym was pretty disappointing but most hotel gyms are haha. Nice, quiet hotel in a good somewhat central location.

Efficient friendly staff. Answered question re new overflow parking procedure. Room in great condition and clean. AC worked well and quietly. Missing second bathrobe. The one there was scratchy on touch and to skin. Dispensers for body wash and shampoo not refilled and not secured properly to the wall at the top. Squeezing dispensers are difficult for elderly and arthritic hands.

Didn’t like our room being next to a yapping dog despite telling staff we had allergies and didn’t want to be on an animal floor. I liked the prompt way our problem was dealt with by moving us and upgrading our room. Staff very helpful and pleasant.

Overall for the price it’s a good place. Staff were kind and helpful however I feel the stay overall was missing that extra touch. The rooms lacked accommodations such as always having to ask for towels, a lack of shower accommodations and some outdated appliances. However. The room is cheap clean the staff are helpful and for what you’re paying it’s an amazing stay. If you aren’t going to be in your hotel often and you plan to be out and about I definitely reccomend this hotel

Meeka was the front desk agent who hold face lied to us saying the hotel was full so no room upgrades. I showed her online that the hotel was not full and she said there no note showing an upgrade! I said we were Expedia members and a free upgrade is part of booking with them. She then said it’s not on my reservation Staff needs to be trained to know perks of booking. No robes in room! Awful experience in a hotel we would and have normally booked. All around the pool there was chicken bits and spilled drinks

The hotel is very nicely decorated, clean. The swimming pool and hot tub are great. Nice gym onsite looking out to the pool. And great staff!

Options of lounge , pub , restaurant, baked goods , breakfast included. Staff were very accommodating when we required an extended stay. Thank you front desk staff, restaurant manager and housekeeping staff for all you did.

First night there a/c and phone didn’t work, had to call on my personal phone to reach hotel staff, had to make multiple trips to the lobby to get towels, soap and shampoo, vending machine on our floor didnt work but charged me twice, tried to cancel and rebook somewhere else the following day, hotel manager said we can cancel but we wont get a refund for the remaining 6 days of our visit, left the room service card on our door and it was ignored by cleaning staff had to complain just to get our room cleaned, buffet was disgusting my wife and I got food poisoning and got sick. Trash in the hallways, cleaning staff completely ignored it walking past it, I had to tell the cleaning staff "Hey there's a rolled up diaper on the floor over there can you get rid of it"

Hotel is good for the price! We only stayed for a couple nights in a standard room, I would recommend if you're staying for awhile, to pay the extra $50 dollars and upgrade to the Premium room. Standard is in the older part which is showing its age. AC unit was quite loud and woke us up when it turned on at night. The bathroom was quite small and crowded. The TV would freeze/glitch or sound was off while watching the Cable channels. The lighting in the room was very dim. The Bed and Pillows in the Standard room were comfy though and at the end of the day that's all that matters! The outdoor hotel pool was great, it was awesome to relax after a long day roaming the city. Complimentary breakfast was a simple buffet but still good. The only complaint with the breakfast was it was a dine in only seated breakfast, where the servers took your drink orders, (only juice and coffee) but food was self serve. Servers still brought a receipt with tipping options. Out of courtesy we tipped a few dollars in cash but was also told when checking out the same amount was charged to our room number. Location was great! Across the street was Krispy Kreme, Mcdonalds, Chick-Fil-A, and short walk to the CF Chinook Centre.

I went for a premium room and let’s just say it would be a regular room at other hotels. Nothing premium about it, stained ceiling tiles in the bathroom, wall paper peeling off. Bathroom was just weird, angled countertop, corner sink, even the light switch was right above the outlet and placed high. For me there are way better choices in Calgary, I’ll opt to drive more than stay here again.

Gym equipment is outdated but like how it’s 24/7. Housekeeping was great. Service for breakfast could be a bit better (my server forgot my drink 3-4 times). Wish there were more sweet options for cereal. Newly renovated ballroom so there was a wedding everyday that we were there so it did get a bit noisy. Very convenient area and near a bunch of restaurants and malls. A bit of outdated TVs but I would stay again.
