This is an excellent option for a shorter stay in Cairns. It is central, very reasonably priced, clean and has a well stocked mini kitchen. The communication was great from booking to check out.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was large. It had all the amenities I needed. The only thing I would mention is perhaps put a picture of the 18 stairs one negotiates with 23 kg suitcase. Add a picture of the stairs. I know you say no elevator but a picture of stairs is worth a thousand words.

An easy property to stay in. So close to the coast and dining areas. Also walkable distance to shops. The stairs were a bit of a problem for us to get the suitcases up to our apartment. We are in our 70s. Room was very nice. Plenty of space. Bed a bit small and hard. Bathroom was fabulous. Great kitchenette. Some noisy road traffic if window open. Overall a great stay though.

Staying at the escape on Lake was awesome. Very clean, close to everything in Cairns. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Mark was extremely helpful to us booking excursions whenour cellphones couldn't make outbound calls.

I love Cairns. I came here for diving and snorkeling, Escape on Lake hotel is in a great location near the Esplanade, restaurants, the Aquarium and the shopping center. Rooms are clean, simple and quiet. Coming back to Cairns, I will know what hotel I will make a reservation to.

I was visiting Cairns by myself so I liked the fact that there were only 5 units and they were in a secure building. Unfortunately the bed was not comfortable, a simple bed topper might help ? Also the housekeeping was only average. I loved the location, it was quiet and could walk to the beach, the shops, and the bus stop.

Take no notice of what this place looks like on the outside. Our apartment was perfect for our stay in Cairns. It was well appointed with everything we needed, comfortable and conveniently located near the center of town.
