Cairns Central Business District

Mount Whitfield Conservation Park provides scenic walking trails with mountain views. Classic Queenslander homes with wide verandas line the quiet streets, offering a glimpse into genuine Australian suburban life.

The neighborhood appeals to budget-conscious travelers with affordable accommodations compared to the Esplanade. Wide tree-lined streets create perfect walking conditions through this garden suburb. While dining options are limited within the area, the central shopping district lies just a short journey away.

Palm Cove

Palm Cove charms visitors with its palm-lined tropical beach and upscale resorts. This peaceful coastal haven offers pristine swimming waters protected by stinger nets. "We loved the central position to everything in Cairns, plus a beautiful view. Rooms very clean and fresh. Thought the hotel was dated and the swimming pool and surrounds need updating. Bohemia Resort Cairns

Bohemia Resort Cairns

8/10 Good
"The room was spacious and accommodated our group well. The stove, TV, and fridge were all working properly. Having two toilets and a bathroom was also very convenient and useful for the number of guests in our group. Secure parking within the property was another positive, although there were not enough parking spaces available. Unfortunately, the unit felt quite outdated and appeared to need better maintenance. The beds were uncomfortable and seemed to be sinking, and the shower head could not be adjusted or moved. One particularly disappointing experience was when we asked for milk and coffee at around 7:00 am. We were told by the staff that no service was available until 8:00 am. Overall, while the unit was spacious and had some useful amenities, the outdated condition, lack of maintenance, uncomfortable beds, limited parking, and poor early-morning service made our stay disappointing."
