Fall, this year, came on hard and fast. It seems the trees are going straight from green to bare. There is not the drawn out explosion of colors we're used to here in Michigan. I've been trying to get out and capture them while I can. #michigan #puremichigan #fall #autumn #treetrove

This is one of my favorite trees, even though it is dead. It was actually taller last summer so the winter must have taken a toll on it. The big lean out over the stream, the crazy exposed root system, and the steep embankment, make this an especially interesting subject. I've tried shooting it at all times of day and year but could never get a decent shot of it because of the complex lighting situation in this little spot, my iPhone 3GS just doesn't process it well. Here's my best attempt, though looking at the photo now I realize its a bit priapic. Even so, hope you enjoy it as well... #treetrove

the bed was so hard, it was like laying on stone. First day could not sleep. My back hurt so bad. everything else was ok. except swimming pool chair was not fixed, has been at least 5-6 months. Amazon has parts, handicap needs it. Water in pool could be a little warmer .

This is the second time staying at the Boardwalk. Different rooms both times. This time the room was just not as clean as the first time. Dirty dishes were put back in the cupboards and we had to re-wash and there was a lot of hair in the shower that was left from previous tenant.

We just stumbled upon this really cool car show, it turned out to be the 8th annual covered bridge festival car show. It is a great family event; there were venders, craft tents, a bounce house, mini pedal tractor pulls for the kids, and plenty of different cars from about every era. #Cars #Carshow #Michigan #PureMichigan #Kidsfun

This is a cool little town... As the former home and burial site of the famous magician, Harry Blackstone, Sr. (The Great Blackstone), Colon refers to itself as "The Magic Capital of the World." It is the home of the Abbott Magic Company, founded by magicians Percy Abbott, an Australian and friend of Blackstone's, and Recil Bordner, originally from Eaton, Ohio, in 1934. The company has a local store, showroom and a factory where magicians' supplies and new tricks are manufactured. Abbott Magic is well-known among professional stage acts, with customers around the world. Two other younger magic suppliers also call Colon their home, FAB Magic and the Sterlini Magic Manufacturing Company. Each August more than 1,000 magicians and lovers of magic gather there for "Abbott's Magic Get-Together", a 4 day magic convention, doubling the population, sharing magic tricks, and recollecting their knowledge of the famous occupation. The convention concludes each day with an evening show at Colon High School. Colon is a village in St. Joseph County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,227 at the 2000 census. The village is located within Colon Township. The village is named after the shape of Palmer Lake, and is not the only place in Michigan so named. Colon also has a small Amish community. According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.7 square miles (4.4 km2), of which, 1.4 square miles (3.6 km2) of it is land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2) of it (18.71%) is water.
