"Review for semporna Summary: Horrible condition. Dirty, not organized and disgusting. We walked in, the fridge, the rice cooker and rubbish bins were not clean, in fact there were food left in them and has mold all over, inside the fridge, on the dishes etc. Couldn’t unsee all the disgusting leftovers left in the fridge and kitchen. "The airport transport was nearly one hour late... There instruction was to send me the license plate with no further comments. Another guy at the airport explained it to me and looked for my taxi. Hotel Kapalai

Hotel Kapalai

10/10 Excellent
"The hotel room was simply outstanding! Plenty of room, comfortable bed and TONS of lighting options. The restaurant and rooftop bar, however were closed and looked to have been closed for a very long time. There was a restaurant on the ground floor that served a buffet breakfast. If the ground floor restaurant is made permanent or semi-permanent I would recommend drapes to draw diner’s attention inward. The view of the shopping center and dogs was lackluster."

"The location for snorkeling is excellent with 10 min boat rides to healthy coral. The water around the lodge is unfortunately now with some litter from Mabul village. Come for the snorkeling and scuba diving (which we did not do."
