Service/front desk was AMAZING! Very friendly and accommodating. Location is super central and public transportation was great. Beds were comfortable. Nothing to complain about. Felt clean, could be a little more modern, but did not feel like a problem since we were only there to sleep after exploring all day. Wifi worked.

Good price, clean room, friendly staff who spoke english which was helpful. It's in a nice, safe area with public transport nearby. Never felt unsafe walking around the area afterdark.

After long search, I found this hotel (Central 121) which is located at H-1085 Budapest ,Maria Utca 10 ( first floor with no lifts). Although I booked flight and stay via Expedia, I was surprised to hear from the Hotel Manager that my booking was cancelled because I was expected to arrive the day before!. He claimed that he wasn't informed properly by Expedia of my booking itinerary (flight and stay)? He kindly directed me to look for vacancies at other hotels nearby but didn't make any effort himself to help. He informed that he refunded booking money to Expedia after deducting for one night stay. This was not a good welcome news and has caused me a lot of pain, suffering and trouble looking for another hotel to stay at extra costs as I had no help from anybody at all. Therefore, I'm in process of complaining to Expedia about their booking arrangements and what followed afterwards at Central Hotel 121..

Dear Sir, As I had explained that you did not show up and the reservation was cancelled regarding the cancellation policy. You arrived next day but the room was already sold out. We did have another category of the room but you refused it and left the building. If you did inform us about your next day arrival you could save lot of time and money for yourself because we should have kept the room for you. But you decided not to communicate with us. I offered you some places clsoe to us. I am sorry about this situation but I need to follow the cancellation policy. If you do not show up in the hotel the reservation is going to be cancelled. expedia is going to make the refund. In case of any further assistance please do not hesitate to contact us.

This is a great little hotel. It is really good for the price you pay. The staff (Aron specifically) are wonderful people and incredibly helpful. The location is great- bus/tram a few minutes walk away, and it is really centrally located so not a long ride to anything. Lots of great food near by too. It was quiet at night. My only negative thing to say is there is no elevator and if you have a lot of luggage like we did, then the room is a little on the smaller side. Other than that it is great. We enjoyed our time here and recommend it to everyone.

Comfortable Hotel
Comfortable hotel in convenient location. Only stayed for one night while passing through Budapest, but was happy with the hotel. Friendly, helpful staff and good restaurants and bars nearby.

Superb hotel in great location.
I rarely comment on hotels, but this hotel was fantastic. So comfy and clean. We were lucky we stayed in the garden area. Staff polite and very helpful. Location is great easy walking to main town and around 5 mins to nearest train. Which if you buy the 72hour pass includes all travel. My only small comments would be a curtain above door to block out extra daylight. Some English breakfast tea in room ;-) Somewhere to put "things" in bathroom. Very small area above toilet. But i would stay here again!

LOW TV VOLUME
When we arrived my parents tv volume would only go to 15. After telling the front desk were we informed that all the tvs were programmed to 15, which wasn’t the case because our tv went up to 30 or more. My father is hard of hearing and nothing was done to provide a louder tv, accommodate them to a room with a louder tv or was any compensation provided back for this situation. Only the garbage was taken out of the room and the coffee was replenished.

Clean and comfortable, walking distance to the city centre. Attentive service. A light but appropriately priced breakfast is available. Overall I had a very pleasant stay and would recommend!

We stayed for 1 night in a suite. The hotel is nice, clean and quiet but outdated and we had to pay 15 euro extra for parking as the parking is hard to find in the area .

The Central Hotel 21, was a perfect stay for our break in Budapest. The rooms were clean and always warm after a cold day out. The only downside we found was the Tea and coffee provided in the room and would recommend taking your own, as the options are fruit tea and 2-in-1 coffee sachets. Although the hotel is not right in the centre of Budapest it is within easy walking distance. It was ideally situated to get around the sights of the beautiful city.

Lovely Hotel in Budapest

We liked the Hotel as it was clean and suited our needs for a short break . The hotel staff were extremely helpful and recommended places to visit as well a local restaurants and bars which we found we very good.Although slightly further away from the inner city, the liberty bridge was less than a 15 minute stroll. From here you could walk along the bustling shops or visit the indoor market which must not be missed.

The most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my lifetime. Unbelievable. Missed a full morning of tourist sights because the bed was too comfy I didn't want to get out. The gentleman on reception who checked us in was incredibly helpful, gave us many tips and recommendations. If you have mobility issues the reception and ground floor rooms are up one flight of stairs, but as it is a historic building, this is the same for many of the central hotels. The rooms have a plain neutral decor so don't reflect the historic style but were spotlessly clean and spacious.
