Beautiful resort!

Beautiful resort! It’s away from crowds and traffic, situated in the countryside. Restaurant is very upscale. Sitting on the restaurant patio and looking at the rolling hills is an excellent way to spend an evening. Breakfast was delicious, varied, and plentiful. The resort is located at the end of a one lane road, so one must stay alert when driving in and out!

Beautiful Stay with Exceptional Service!

This property is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are huge, super comfortable, and the bed is pure luxury—perfect for a restful sleep. What truly stood out, though, was the kindness and outstanding service from the entire staff. I spent 5 days here with my parents and we had a wonderful time. I would love to come back!

An amazing place! Friendly staff, personalized service, fantastic meals cooked by the best chefs in italy, and the perfect place to relax and as a base for excursions in the area. We could not be happier with our stay at Il Verreno. We arrived late on our first night and they were able to hold our table in the restaurant for dinner. My husband had Coeliac disease and not once did we have to tell the staff, they had a note in file and every single one of them remembered for the whole trip. They made changes to the menu for him, ensuring he had gluten free bread and pasta etc. the service was excellent throughout the hotel, the hotel was clean and the rooms are beautiful. I would recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the Tuscan area.

We stayed at Il Verreno for our anniversary at the start of July and it was absolutely stunning! So beautiful and peaceful, the room was lovely (we had a suite) and the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. We especially enjoyed eating at the Restaurant- the food was amazing! I'd highly recommend staying here if you want a peaceful retreat and also to have a car so that you can also visit the neigbouring towns (we took advantage of day trips to Sienna and Florence). Thank you for a wonderful stay and we look forward to coming back again soon!

There could be better walking paths from park I g lot to your rooms so you can pull your suitcases. The steep hill to parking lot with luggage isn’t great. As well better breakfast options. The dining menu is absolutely fantastic and the scenery is fabulous. Staff go above and beyond regardless of the time of day. 👏👏👏

Tuscan villa dream

Such an amazing hotel. Beautiful location. We had a 2 bed suite as it was a last minute booking and was only option. WOW. Absolute gorgeous. Had own kitchen area. 2 huge bedrooms with en suite's. The pool area was compact but the views! The restaurant was incredibly. The quality and presentation 10/10. Ricardo and his team looked after us both nights we were there and they were excellent. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Go!

We love Il Verreno!

There are so many well-deserved positive things to say about Il Verreno that this is not a short review. The setting is peaceful and magical, high above the Ambra Valley with views across orchards, olive groves and vineyards to wooded hills - best seen from the swimming pool! The historic buildings have been restored with great care and furnished with striking taste. The extensive public seating areas and library show the comfort of guests is more important than profit. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The bed was unimaginably comfortable. There was a decent sized refrigerator too. The choice and quality of food at breakfast was better than I can remember anywhere. The food in the restaurant is full of imaginative surprises and has a deserved high reputation. The wine list offers many great options for all lovers of Tuscan wines. The staff are unfailingly professional, polite, efficient and friendly. We liked them! Ambra village is a short distance away. Small, charming and the home of the Notti Ambra on summer Tuesday evenings - not to be missed. Bucine train station is not far with trains to Arezzo and Florence. Il Verreno is not the cheapest nor the most expensive place to stay in Tuscany. We felt it was fairly priced for the high standards it offers. The sincerest compliment we can give is that we intend to come back for a longer stay.
