I will be staying again. Staff very welcoming and friendly, day time staff and night shift. I had a room at rear of hotel facing garden. It was so quiet that I could hardly hear the large music event in the park close by. Really enjoyed my room with comfortable bed and sheets, towels etc kindly refreshed everyday. One item I would like is a set of drawers for clothes, other than that perfect and really look forward to my next visit.

Nice, small room for one, with 1a great location. But the room was missing towels, which was uncomfortable, especially as I checked-in late.

Lots of Character
I enjoyed my stay. It's an older hotel that has been updated with most modern amenities. It's certainly not one of those cookie cutter places that look the same no matter what part of the world you are staying. It's not often you find an old marble fireplace in your room.

Decent hotel for the money
I had the 1 person room. Bed was not very big. Bathroom was nice. However I don't like to shower in the bath. Wifi and breakfast were ok.

Decent small hotel but overpriced
This is a small hotel close to the European Parliament area of Brussels. Clearly they play on whether any events are on to hike their prices. My room was spacious enough and reasonable well laid out if a little tired. There was parking for a few cars of street by the front door, at a cost of 25 Euro/day. Breakfast was also an additional 25 Euro, despite the rate being 225 Euro/night The staff were friendly enough. Overall a reasonable hotel but not worth 225 Euro/nigt

No complaints whatsoever. Room was a good size and comfortable, also good size bathroom. Quiet (ah, as long as you don't mind the occasional sound of the Brussels parakeet population in the morning - The hotel overlooks gardens at the rear :-)). Staff friendly and helpful. Location great and convenient for bus/tram/metro, also good cafes and restaurants nearby. Large park just across the road (Parc du Cinquantenaire).

Altogether very good quality.
This is a hotel of very good class, with professional and very friendly staff. It is located, as others have observed, next to the fairly huge and symbolically important Parc du Cinquantenaire, which also hides a massive free car park to which staff will point you. The self-parking is in the little driveway at the front and is pricey at €25/day. It is a brief walk to Mérode, with tube, trams and buses; so, very well connected. The room was spotless and had a nice view over the garden. I found it a bit hot at night (in a very cold January), but there was absolutely no intrusive noise. The shower was excellent. Breakfast is a fairish sort of Brussels price (€15) and is certainly good: I enjoyed using the machine to squeeze fresh oranges; and it was good to have a delicious hot breakfast as well as a very good range of breads and pastries and so on. Altogether very good quality, and at a remarkably reasonable price.

Happy ending to a terrible day.
Thank you for the best hospitality service you can get. After a terrible day at the airport we felt so welcome and home to stay at your hotel. And your service of going out of your way to help with boarding passes, room service, and transportation to central station, when the taxis were on strike the next day. Convenient location, that's about it...
As you will see elsewhere, the location isconvenient but that's about it. Credit to the staff though, they were very helpful. There was a terrible smell of smoke in my room which seemed to be eminating from the bathroom so all the towels were very smoky. Room was small and tired. For the price, you can get much nicer hotels in central Brussels.

All star accomodation
This is a truly excellent hotel: very close to metro station ( Merode) and served by buses and trams alike. Just on the doorstep of the beautiful Parc du Cinquantenaire, it is located in a very beautiful area of Bruxelles ands it is surrounded by lovely architectures and townscape, the nearby Rue de Tongres offers good shops, food and more. My room was spacious and very clean, endowed with all modern comforts and with access to the Hotel garden , but I understand that all rooms have either a lovely view on the Parc du Cinquantenaire to front elevation or on the beautiful hotel garden to rear. Staff is discrete, polite and friendly, I'll surely go back, thank you Best Western!

Century-old hotel east of Brussels city center
This hotel is comfortable: everything works and staff is helpful. The room (a single-bed cheapie on weekends) was small but adequate. A peek into others showed them to be better and larger. The view from the room at the back of the hotel to the garden below was most pleasing. The hotel is fully accessible (no stairs if you use the elevator) but doorways into bathrooms are narrow. The hotel has no restaurant, and few are in the neighborhood. Breakfast on Sunday morning was offered at 15 Euro, down from 25 on weekdays, but still was not good value (I walked in and looked but did not stay and buy--breakfast is not included in the normal room rates).

Lack of any available plug outlets in the room is bizarre in this age where everyone has at least a phone to charge, often several other things like laptops. Tea/coffee service had a kettle but no milk. A la carte breakfast overpriced for what it was.

Hotel in front of cinquentaine
No A.C and no fans either.. All they offered me was to open the door to let the air in. Nice modern bathroom. Very far from the airport.. About 8 mins in metro to central station. Overall nice location. Very friendly staff. I ended up cancelling my reservation for the rest of my stay and stayed in the hotel next to the airport .
