Ings Lane. Ings Lane (further south called Brompton Ings Road) connects Brompton By Sawdon with High Street, Sherburn (A64). A public footpath follows this lane to its end and then crosses fields in an easterly direction to Hudgin Lane near Wykeham Abbey. Off Malpas Road. The photograph is looking in a westerly direction along a short loop off Malpas Road (in the immediate foreground) toward Brooke Cottage (with red tiles roof - private property). The viewpoint is at the clockwise junction with Malpas Road. The eastern branch of Brompton Beck flows right to left (westerly) in the picture until it reaches the bridge (where the road rises slightly against the level of the water). At this point it is joined by the western branch of the beck coming from 428681 and turns south under the bridge. Exceptionally well decorated and beautiful home to explore the local area. Very welcoming on reception and everything you could need. Only minor gripe was the upstairs shower that was either boiling hot or freezing cold with no in between but sort that and this place is perfect.

A little birthday weekend away with our two spaniels and what a fantastic place. This is obviously someone’s home it was perfect. It had everything. From fold up tables to eat at if you didn’t want to use the breakfast bar, to recliner chairs and sofa. The whole house was spotless and we felt welcome ...
