The most memorable thing about staying here was the staff. The lady on the front desk couldn’t do enough for us and the food and staff in the restaurant were excellent. While the rooms were a little old they were clean and freshly painted. There was a lot of road noise as it’s on Argent St/Barrier Highway.

They were filming a movie right next to our room lots of noise , no car space , should have informed us this was happening and we would have stayed somewhere else. The noise went on til after 10 , smoking out side our room and as I suffer asthma had a really bad sleep . I would not stay there again . Positive they had lots of tea bags and biscuits .

Constant noise in room coming from upstairs somewhere, kept us awake several times. Thought it was the fridge but don't think it was . Otherwise very happy.

The only problem was the restaurant was closed but instead we gad a wonderful meal at the Junction Hotel across the road. The room was very clean and very well maintained. A great place to stay.

Summary: a decent place to stay with a nice clean room, comfy bed and hot shower with some annoyances. The big things they do well, room was clean, towels and linen all smelled fresh and they provide biscuits to go with your coffee - being a transit hub for many on long drives, it makes a difference! The biggest issue is the terrible parking situation. Carpark is super tight and there's plenty of large SUV's and utes, making it very hard to squeeze through. If all rooms were occupied, there would be about 3 rooms along the western edge that would have nowhere to park! The motel is on the Barrier Highway so you'll hear noisy trucks going by, for me it wasn't an issue, once I was asleep it didn't bother me. The aircon seemed to have a mind of its own, even on max temp it would heat for a few mins, then stop, then heat for a few mins then stop... they do provide a column heater too, which was handy for the cold nights and mornings. Overall, it's not a bad place to stay unless you're expecting capital city 5 star perfection, i'd happily book here again next time I'm in town.

Website says restaurant , restaurant not open. Pub across the road not open. Had to get pizza delivery. Yuk, both ended up sick. On site parking is limited to vehicle size. We were towing and unable to park on site, could not even drive thru the site. Got the key thru the key safe, instructions received via text message. Understand that weekends staff need time off. But to get a note on a scrap of paper saying air conditioning was broken and heater had been provided. Would have been nice to have received a phone call personally. No smoke detector fitted to room. Not acceptable!! Very disappointed.

Location location location.
Great friendly staff, clean and tidy, unfortunately the location is atrocious. Just outside of town so vehicles are either accelerating out of town or decelerating into town- Trucks, land cruisers & bombadoores every hour of the night. Woke me up numerous times both nights & I’m a heaven sleeper.

Very disappointed with poor state of property. Room was dirty & dilapidated. Torn curtains, broken toilet door handle, broken bed lamp, bedside lamp didn’t work, hairs on bed pillow towel toilet seat & in shower drain ! Place need a complete overhaul.
